The Anglican Foundation of Canada has distributed more than $24 million among every Canadian diocese in its 51 year history.
Facts about the Foundation:
- The Anglican Foundation of Canada was established in 1957 as a separate corporation from the Anglican Church of Canada, distinct from General Synod.
- The mandate of the Foundation is to support and assist the work of the Anglican Church across Canada.
Some of our Goals:
- To help build or renovate church buildings, including rectories and parish halls.
- To make Church buildings handicapped-accessible.
- To support a wide variety of ministries including:
- Church camps
- Conferences and programs
- Publications
- Bursaries for theological students

A talented volunteer investment committee oversees the financial resources of the Foundation and advises the Directors and the Treasurer on investment policies and decisions.
The Board of Directors meets three times a year to consider applications for loans and grants, to manage the general business of the Foundation, and to concur with recommendations made by the advisory committees of each of the donor-designated trusts under the Foundation's administration.
