Projects in Eleven Dioceses Included in First Quarter Grants
The Anglican Foundation of Canada (AFC) Board of Directors met by ZOOM on Thursday, February 29 to approve $170,000 in funding to 16 applicants. Grants approved during the Q1 cycle, by impact zone, included:
Community Ministry
- National Indigenous Ministries, Sacred Beginnings: $15,000
- St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Port Hope (Diocese of Toronto), Emmaus Café, $2,500
- St. George’s Anglican Church, Edmonton (Diocese of Edmonton), Music Mends Minds, $5,000
Diverse Infrastructure
- Christ Church Cathedral, Ottawa (Diocese of Ottawa), Principal Entrance Step Replacement, $15,000
- Holy Trinity Anglian Church, Yellowknife (Diocese of the Arctic), Rectory Renovations, $15,000
- St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Smithville (Diocese of Niagara), St. Luke’s Accessibility Project, $15,000
- St. Aidan’s Anglican Church, Toronto (Diocese of Toronto), The West Garden, $5,000
- St. Albans’s Cathedral, Kenora (Diocese of Rupert’s Land), Chapel/Choir Room Renovation, $5,000
- St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Winipeg (Diocese of Rupert’s Land), Purchase & Installation of sound system, $8,000
- St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Terrace (Diocese of Caledonia), New Flooring, $2,000
- St. Peter’s on-the-Rock Anglican Church, Kirkland Lake (Diocese of Moosonee), Capital Building Project, $40,000
- St. Thomas Anglican Church, Chilliwack (Diocese of New Westminster), Repairs for Historical Church, $7,500
